COTI Targets Privacy-Enabled Tokenized RWAs Amid Rising Demand

COTI, a next-gen Web3 privacy layer, is going through notable growth within the digital asset ecosystem. Hence, amid the rising demand for privacy among the institutional players looking for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), COTI plans to bring privacy-enabled RWAs on-chain. As COTI disclosed in its official press release, the increasing adoption of tokenized RWAs indicates substantial significance of privacy. Thus, COTI is getting ready to collaborate with a renowned RWA infrastructure platform in 2026.

COTI Advances Institutional RWA Adoption On-Chain with Privacy-Focused Infrastructure

The growing institutional interest in privacy is presenting solid signals across the Web3 ecosystem and Wall Street. Specifically, when it comes to real-world assets, privacy could trigger a broader adoption. Hence, COTI is reportedly preparing to join a key RWA infrastructure entity to bring the earliest privacy-centered RWAs on-chain via its cost-efficient and rapid GC-Layer by 2026.

Recently, Digital Asset, the platform backing the Canton Network, has obtained investments from well-known institutions like S&P Global, Nasdaq, iCapital, and BlackRock. The respective investments denote increasing confidence in privacy-focused blockchains as the key support for tokenized real-world assets. These assets are anticipated to hit the staggering $500B mark by the next year, led by endeavors such as the BUIDL fund of BlackRock and the money markets of Templeton on-chain. Additionally, privacy lets these assets work securely under regulated sandboxes, getting the attention of the enterprise apps across diverse sectors.

Moreover, amid TradFi’s entry into privacy-focused tokenization,  COTI is leading with production-proven technology. Its programmable privacy technology, driven by Garbled Circuits, offers unmatched performance. Particularly, it is nearly 3000x faster processing in comparison with Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), and has 250x lightweight computational overhead. Simultaneously, COTI’s GC-Layer, which is fully EVM-compatible, allows builders to develop complicated apps via familiar instruments while integrating chosen disclosure for audits and compliance.

Bridging Privacy-Programmability, and Speed for Cutting-Edge RWAs

According to COTI, it is going to unveil the 1st privacy RWAs during the next year via collaborations with top infrastructure companies. By merging privacy, programmability, and speed, the CG-Layer thereof is more than just a technological innovation. In this respect, it serves as a gateway to attract trillions in terms of institutional capital flows into RWAs.

Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future

The post Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. “It’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress,” writes Pipes. Getty Images Washington is addicted to taxing success. Now, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is floating a plan to skim half the patent earnings from inventions developed at universities with federal funding. It’s being sold as a way to shore up programs like Social Security. In reality, it’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress. Yes, taxpayer dollars support early-stage research. But the real payoff comes later—in the jobs created, cures discovered, and industries launched when universities and private industry turn those discoveries into real products. By comparison, the sums at stake in patent licensing are trivial. Universities collectively earn only about $3.6 billion annually in patent income—less than the federal government spends on Social Security in a single day. Even confiscating half would barely register against a $6 trillion federal budget. And yet the damage from such a policy would be anything but trivial. The true return on taxpayer investment isn’t in licensing checks sent to Washington, but in the downstream economic activity that federally supported research unleashes. Thanks to the bipartisan Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, universities and private industry have powerful incentives to translate early-stage discoveries into real-world products. Before Bayh-Dole, the government hoarded patents from federally funded research, and fewer than 5% were ever licensed. Once universities could own and license their own inventions, innovation exploded. The result has been one of the best returns on investment in government history. Since 1996, university research has added nearly $2 trillion to U.S. industrial output, supported 6.5 million jobs, and launched more than 19,000 startups. Those companies pay…
