President Donald Trump took another swipe at America's neighbor to the North on Wednesday in a viperous social media post.
Trump has picked several trade fights with Canada throughout his second administration. He's unilaterally increased tariffs on goods imported from Canada, causing the country to stop buying American staples like whiskey. Canadian tourism to the U.S. has also fallen off a cliff under the second Trump administration.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump raged at Canada and called on Republicans in Congress to protect his tariff regime.
"Canada has taken advantage of the United States on Trade for many years," Trump wrote. "They are among the worst in the World to deal with, especially as it relates to our Northern Border. TARIFFS make a WIN for us, EASY. Republicans must keep it that way!"
Trump's post was written just a couple of days after the president lashed out at Canada over the soon-to-open Gordie Howe International Bridge, which will connect Detroit, Michigan, to Windsor, Ontario.
