- Dynamic Block Size and Penalties: Monero does not have a hard cap on block sizes. Instead, it uses a soft cap. If a miner produces a block exceeding the median size of the prior 100 blocks, the block reward is reduced quadratically. The maximum block size is capped at two times the median of the prior 100 blocks, at which point the block reward approaches zero.

- Fair Launch: Monero was launched in 2014 as a community-driven project. All XMR in circulation has been issued through the mining process or acquired via secondary markets.
- Community Crowdfunding System (CCS): While there is no community-governed treasury, protocol development is funded through the CCS. This is a donation-based system where anyone can propose projects. Funding is sourced entirely from community donations (XMR and BTC) and managed by the core team.
- Stakeholder Distribution: Because Monero is fundamentally private, there is no public data regarding the concentration of wallet addresses. Information on the percentage held by top addresses is intentionally unavailable to preserve the network's privacy guarantees.
